The Protocol Prose Book Club convenes on August, 12 2025 for a members-only discussion of the book Emily Post's Business Etiquette. About the Book Emily Post’s Business Etiquette is a comprehensive guide to everything professionals and jobseekers need to know to succeed in the business world today. It’s a new world of work out there, and this completely rewritten and up-to-date guide has been fully refreshed for the post-pandemic era as a resource for people to turn to throughout their entire career–from applicant to leadership. For over one-hundred years, Emily Post has been America’s definitive source for advice on navigating every social interaction. Today, Emily’s great-great-grandchildren Lizzie Post and Daniel Post Senning, continue that legacy at The Emily Post Institute by paying attention to American social trends and utilizing their foundation of consideration, respect, and honesty to offer advice on etiquette today. Full of thoughtful guidance with sample language, examples and exercises, charts, and pro tips from every chapter, Emily Post’s Business Etiquette covers contemporary workplace concerns such as video conferencing norms, workflow management, and communication tools for remote work, while still incorporating Emily Post classics such as greetings and introductions, how to write a thank-you note, and the importance of punctuality and professional appearance. And, of course, the Institute’s Five-Step Process for Solving Problems serves as a backbone for every workplace scenario where there is no manner to lean on.
