Fellow Program

PDI-POA offers an opportunity for collegiate students to gain a wealth of professional experience and get a behind-the-scenes view into the protocol profession. The organization is looking for motivated students who are looking for hands-on experience, who are wanting to make an impact, and have fun. 

Fellow Opportunities & Applications

PDI-POA currently offers two fields of interest. The fellowship would begin in January 2024 and conclude at the end of August. 

Communication
  • Coordinate social media calendar under guidance of the VP of Communications
  • Curate social media content
  • Upload and update Event app information as needed with staff
  • Forum - on-site
    • Assist at registration
    • Manage photographer(s)
    • Identify a shot list
    • Update app notifications
    • update/post social media throughout the Forum
    • Organize daily photographs provided by photographer(s)
    • Other duties as assigned by the executive director
  • Estimated time commitment: 4 - 5 hours per month with the exception of the Forum.
 
Events
  • Coordinate virtual events under guidance of the VP of Events
    • Member gatherings and webinars
  • Forum - on-site
    • Assist at registration
    • Point of contact for breakout speakers
      • Ensuring rooms are set-up
      • Assistance with any items
    • Author’s Corner 
      • Assist in setting up author’s corner during set times
      • Under direction of Book Club coordinator
    • Other duties as assigned by the executive director
  • Estimated time commitment: 4 - 5 hours per month with the exception of the Forum.

Program Benefits
