This session will focus on the art and science of compensation negotiation and will empower participants with the knowledge and tactics needed to advocate for their worth effectively. Participants will discuss how to handle requests for salary requirements at each stage of the interview process, what to ask for in a compensation package and leverage benefits, and how to handle counteroffers. The session will also include the nuanced differences between negotiating with a new organization or job offer and advocating for a promotion or pay raise with a current employer.

This session includes one 60-minute small group session.

About the Presenter

Krystal Yates is a certified HR expert with SHRM-SCP and SPHR certifications.  She is the President and Founder of EBR HR Experts. 

Prior to EBR, Krystal worked for small businesses in DFW, overseeing HR and Operations. Additionally, she has been working with job seekers in all facets of job hunting since 2010.  In September 2018, Krystal published her first book, The Insider's Guide to Your Dream Career.

Krystal is a member of the Forbes Coaches Council. She serves on the Feral Friends Community Cat Alliance board, is a Trustee for The Longhorn Group of Charities Unit Accounting Trust, and volunteers with DallasHR and the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce.
